Ganderbal, Nov 16 (KNO): Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic Rural Kashmir, Ravinder Pal Singh, on Thursday visited Ganderbal to review traffic management there.
During the visit, he took a detailed review of the traffic scenario in the district and directed his subordinates to ensure smooth functioning of the traffic in the town.
During the vehicle checking, 130 vehicles which were found in violation of traffic laws especially lacking HSRP, seat belt, helmet, documents and overloaded passengers were fined.
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the drivers were advised to obey and follow traffic rules and regulations. The two wheelers motorists were advised to wear crash helmets and avoid triple riding, besides not to indulge in reckless, dangerous and zigzag driving.
Talking to reporters Singh said they are receiving many complaints about traffic scenarios. He said the department would request the authorities and MC Ganderbal act against those who encroached upon footpaths. He suggested using prescribed parking spaces for vehicles—(KNO)
